sorry if that annoyed you , i was just trying to make my point , and off course the post date is of jan but the time you would have read it would be definitely july so i was referring to the month of july

come on , wordpress 2.8 is out and with tons of added security patches , i think you should better upgrade to wordpress 2.8.1 (at the time of writing it was the latest)

Camellia, I haven’t encountered any bugs, but there are so many variables involved, including what version you started with, plugins, your hosting account database…

If you upgrade manually and make a backup you can always revert back, but you should always keep up to date and any issues that arise will be easier to handle than dealing with many if you skip over a lit of different versions.

Sorry I don’t have a straight answer, but usually issues are few and far between and I always like to caution people.

Thanks for the kind words Becca, I have noticed an increase of people contacting me for WordPress help. I know if I would add a menu of sorts or present my services in a more… err professional matter I would get even more work too but it seems at times its hard enough to do what I get now and post a few times a week.

I recently upgraded myself, and I’m pretty happy with it. I also wanted to say that I don’t comment on here much, but I love this site and I was wondering if you happened to read the recent article about hot job skills for 2008 that features WordPress. In fact, it shows wordpress trends as having increased by 4 times from that of the previous year. I found this encouraging (and figured I’d share) because in this economy, it’s good to be a part of something that is actually in demand.
