Wow..exactly what I was looking for. Knew I’d seen the option somewhere on WP …but couldn’t find it again. You covered everything..clear, concise..and the graphics helped greatly! Thanx for restoring my sanity from the hunt!

Does this work the same way for WP 2.8.4?

I’ve been using a similar method to keep my home page content static. I just create a “home” page and then a blog page. I then go into the settings and tell WP to place all of my new posts onto the blog page, and not the home page.

But I would prefer to use your method, if it can be done in the newest version (which I will be upgrading to next month).

Yeah it is great. It works much better than setting the date on the post to 1999. I find it faster this way…less buttons to click. (I am very lazy)

I heard before tha using sticky posts it’s a good blogging practce. Personally I don’t use it, but i think it can be usefull for some blogs.

The thought the easiest way to keep a certain post on top is just open it,click save and it is on top again… but you have to do this all the time, so I am glad I stumbled upon this blog. Thx..

just started working with WordPress and like it so far. I would like to keep one post always on top as it acts as the intro to the site. I’d prefer to keep it as a post so other on our board can edit it instead of hard-wiring it into the php.
