Nicely done !! That is the best Simple Scripts tutorial I’ve ever seen. Your mention of FTP at the end is the log on the road for most new to the process. Loading up plugins without FTP knowledge will take a huge tutorial. But my experience with Fantistico deluxe has been mixed and I hope Simple Scripts is better. For one thing, the WP versions have been changing a lot. How many times in the last year… like 6 times? The 2 hosting providers I used Fantistico on never had the latest version. So you could do a basic WP install, then you have to do a WP upgrade.

SimpleScripts is only available to BlueHost, HostMonster and FastDomain hosting account which come under the same hosting group run by Matt Heaton. They are developed in house but is planning to sell the service to other web host as well. But unfortunately, after being release so long, I haven’t see a single web host using their service! Many people are curious why BlueHost would create SimpleScripts while Fantastico is available. The reasons because Fantastico is very late in updating their scripts making a lot of sites insecure because of slow upgrades! My users complaint about it and that’s how SimpleScripts is born.

I’ve been learning to write the script manually, but I don’t have time to focus. So, I tried to install the scripts that are already available on the hosting package. And it works after I take a look at this article. I am using fantastico de luxe.
