How To Add BlogRush To A WordPress Blog
If you have a WordPress blog, or any blog for that matter, chances are you have heard of BlogRush. BlogRush is a traffic generation strategy specifically for blogs. The porpose of this WordPress Guide is to show you how to add the BlogRush widget to your blog.
Adding BlogRush to a WordPress blog is really easy, but first you need to sign up and get your code: First click here to get the BlogRush code. Once you sign up and login you will see a dashboard menu like this:

Click the Get Code menu to add your blog and here you simply add your details. At this point most people are confused about their feed URL. Your feed is the URL of your blog with a /feed on the end like this www.YourBlogURL.com/feed. If you setup your feed at FeedBurner but don’t remember your feed URL just add /feed to the end of your blogs URL in the address bar and it will redirect you to your FeedBurner feed. Copy the FeedBurner feed URL from the address bar and add it in the BlogRush dashboard. To simplify the above: Simply add /feed to the end of your blog’s URL, hit enter and use the address shown.
After you add your blog now its time to place the code on your WordPress blog’s sidebar. From the BlogRush dashboard click Get Code, and highlight and copy the code. Go to your WordPress blog’s dashboard, Click Presentation, Widgets, and paste the code into a new or existing text widget. Great piece of advice. I am sure many have benefited from this post. I have BlogRush on both my blogs at http://simplyblogforcash.com and http://nichebabytalk.com. It is a great service offered by BlogRush.
I recently developed a free wordpress plugin called “BlogRush Click Maximizer”. By using it you can vastly improve your Click Through Rate.
This allows you to control what you want to display in BlogRush. You can even write alternate - short and catchy title just for BlogRush.
You will have total control of what appears over the BlogRush Network.

Hello, I stumbled upon your site trying to find a way to center the Blogrush widget. It hands over the left side in te template I use. Any ideas?
Lee you may need to add some type of formating to the code or didn’t get all of the Blogrush code ito the widget.
You may need to add a div align to either center or move it to the right.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff! Your site here rocks for me since I’m new to this hosting my own blog thing. Your going to be my first stop when I have something I’m looking to do.
wordpress isn’t accepting java-script, is it?
blogrush is based on java, and i don’t think that without special skills one could handle it. besides, lately people are complaining that the traffic it brings is almost zero.
Jeff, if you are to recommend a wordpress promotion service, here is one that i’ve discovered recently: blogupp.com
The guys made even a comparison with blogrush, it’s on their blog. U might find new info for you
I don’t know why it’s not appearing in my site. I have tried to add the blogrush widget several times but it’s just not appearing in my wordpress blog. I tried to put it in my blogger blog and it worked.
What could I be doing wrong?
Anthologist, sorry I have no idea what you could be doing wrong. Did you paste the code into the widget and save changes?
It has been quite some time since I made this post or worked with Blogrush, perhaps things have changed since then. Did you look over all the instructions on the BlogRush website?
I know it’s hard to believe but I don’t have all the answers sometimes!
