Agree that this site is a vast improvement over Wordpress support.

I have the same issue-wanting to have my self-hosted (Dreamhost) blog on Youtube, and the whole API issue.

The question is, is there another way to effectively highlight my blog on YouTube?

Thanks, this is far more helpful than Wordpress’s own tutorial.

I noticed that YouTube now has a service that allows you to connect your blog to your YouTube account. It asks for your API as well as your password. I can set up a non-admin account and give it that password but I’m still not sure if I feel comfortable giving YouTube my API.

Do you think this is secure? Should I trust YouTube with my API and password?

hey this was a great help! Man I was really starting to worry I was going crazy or stupid or something.

I do kinda wonder why wordpress does not make things a little more clear. You Know? Seems like a problem they should get 100 emails a day on.

I’ve been struggling for months trying to figure out the dern API key secret. This is the best article/information i’ve found on it, and finally, i have it figured out and was able to activate some of my plugins that required the API key. Thank you SO much for the thorough explanation!
