Screen Options To Customize The WordPress Dashboard
With the latest version of WordPress new options have been added to customize the view of each module. Now you can choose what to show on the screen. To keep your view as simple and uncluttered as you want.
The main Dashboard has the recent activity on your blog, recent comments, incoming links, as well as the latest information about WordPress and links to more documentation and the latest popular plugins. There is also a QuickPress module that is a stripped down post editor for making quick posts. Now you can choose what you want to see on your WordPress dashboard. The main dashboard view and all main module views can be changed by clicking the Screen Options tab on the top right and choosing what modules you want to see. You can also order the location of the visible modules by simple drag and drop. To move a module just grab it by the top and move it to a new location.

These screen options are not just for the main dashboard so make sure to check out the available screen options on each module. Now you can see only what you want on your WordPress dashboard and make it easier for you to navigate.

that’s the good thing with the latest version of the Wordpress. however, i did not bother changing other options on the dashboard except the number of list of sites linking back to my blog.

This is classic wordpress isn’t it? They make literally EVERYTHING customizable!
Next up they’ll install some sort of in-WP graphic editor!

One of the things that I really dislike is that they took almost EVERYTHING away in the customizations of the widgets. I miss the dragging and dropping of them back to the old days of 2.3.x

Most people make donations, for my plugins, in the $5 – $100 dollar range depending on how useful they found it and how much they can afford — the higher numbers usually being professionals web designers who have used them on client sites. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Drive-By comments will be deleted! Like "Thanks for sharing", "Nice post", or any other text that doesn't contribute to the discussion. If you ask a very specific question about your particular WordPress theme, it will probably be deleted. I can fix your WordPress site but for a price. If you ask a question like "Why don't my blog work right", it will be deleted. If you ask a question about your WordPress site without a leaving a link to it, it will be deleted.
