WordPress 2.8.5 Another Security Release
Most of you that frequent your self-hosted WordPress site should be well aware of the new version, 2.8.5 now available. As with all incremental security releases, it is recommended that you upgrade as soon as possible.
Another Security Release WordPress 2.8.4
Well it seems to be almost a weekly upgrade for WordPress version 2.8. Here we are at 2.8.4 which is another security upgrade. This one addressing a vulnerability where a specially crafted URL could be requested that would allow an attacker to bypass a security check to verify a user requested a password reset. Or in other words do the upgrade!
WordPress Upgrade Error Allowed Memory Size Exhausted
WordPress version 2.8.2 came out very soon after 2.8.1, and might have been done so hastily in order to address some security settings. It seems a new problem has been pretty common with the automatic upgrade feature of WordPress 2.8.1.

It seems one thing is constant with WordPress and that is regular updates. Along with fixing and adding new functionality, security is one of the main reasons for updates to the WordPress core.
