Hi,

I googled about my “comment form missing” on pages and found your site. I followed your steps and found out that my theme requests a “comments” key value to enable comments on pages.
(I’m actually using the Neutica theme)

Nice, very nice, clear and helpful! Just what I was looking for as the theme I’m customizing right now didn’t have the comment-option on the pages. Which I found out too late of course… Thanks!

Works perfectly, also seems to work perfectly with the enabling/ disabling function built into wordpress.

I had the opposite problem. My theme by default put comments on pages. But i disabled them but the “Comments closed for this post” showed up on all my pages, so i tried to edit it out.

Not to be a hater, but i switched to Facebook comments and my number of comments increased big time. I lose opt-ins etc, but my News Letter sign up does pretty well.

I don’t have ping/track backs but i never used them “or paid attention” and Facebook does a Great job at combating spam, plus it allows Anonymous comments.

Not hating on WordPress built in comment system, but Facebook comments are definitely worth a look.

And you can insert the code at the bottom of the post or page as fb code, or iframe

Hi there, I spent a lot of time looking for ways to add comments in Pages not posts, as I like using different pages as completely separate galleries for my wordpress. I went to dashboad/appearance/editor and in PAGE TEMPLATE.PHP I simply added the following code after this:

Saved, and I have comments in the bottom of each page. How easy is that!? I loooove WordPress more and more!

The above wp blog has no comment box, I tried amending the codes in page.php but still no success. I am not an expert in php. Can you please take a look and try to help me.
