New WordPress Blog Privacy Settings

If you are new to WordPress or have recently setup a new WordPress blog you should check the privacy settings to make sure it’s visible.


Another Security Release WordPress 2.8.4

Well it seems to be almost a weekly upgrade for WordPress version 2.8. Here we are at 2.8.4 which is another security upgrade. This one addressing a vulnerability where a specially crafted URL could be requested that would allow an attacker to bypass a security check to verify a user requested a password reset. Or in other words do the upgrade!


WordPress Widgets Version 2.8

Back in version 2.7 WordPress made some major changes in the dashboard, most notable was the placement of the menus on the left side instead of the top navigation menu. Navigating the dashboard changed quite a bit. WordPress sidebar widgets had a major change with version 2.5 and now in version 2.8 there are more changes and additions in sidebar widgets.


WordPress Upgrade Error Allowed Memory Size Exhausted

WordPress version 2.8.2 came out very soon after 2.8.1, and might have been done so hastily in order to address some security settings. It seems a new problem has been pretty common with the automatic upgrade feature of WordPress 2.8.1.
